· Work with individual children or small groups (pre K through 4th grade). Provide one on one reading practices and enjoyment through conversation and re-reading familiar books - hands-on activities such as writing, letter play and word games - reading aloud - interacting with children as they read new books. Individual time requirements vary according to site needs. Example site locations include local school districts and local libraries.

Participate in the planning and execution of events planned by the IA and Alumni Offices, including generating invitations, tracking responses, event setups, etc., following through with all details including tracking and monitoring income and expense reports and participate in requested events. Participate in cultivation efforts including performing research on various constituencies on request via mail, telephone, internet, and compile/update information for the dean, director, and administrative assistant. Assist in the collection and input of stories for the alumni news. Job qualifications: Previous office experience preferred, but not required. Must be reliable, conscientious, self-assured, personable, and energetic. Possess friendly and professional manner and be comfortable working with a wide variety of constituencies. Good typing skills and strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs required. Data entry experience and working knowledge of Microsoft excel desired.Excellent attention to detail required.The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 to 4. The days and times are flexible.

The Cataloging Office at Lyndon provides service to patrons by processing all materials for our various collections which include print, non-print and electronic items. The office also ensures that those materials are accurately reflected in the VSC Library Catalog. Applicants must be dependable, be detail-oriented, and able to work with little supervision.
